The New Hope Chamber Players presents its second annual season of events from Aug. 14-23. Following a Fulbright scholarship in Budapest, cellist and Durham native Spencer Adler has designed two different concert programs to highlight the richness of Hungarian music for North Carolina audiences. Musicians from top orchestras and chamber ensembles all around the country will come to Durham for two weeks of chamber music focused on the Hungarian tradition. These are some of the repertoire highlights:
- Béla Bartók: Selections from 44 Duets, Sz. 98
- Zoltán Kodály: Duo for Violin and Cello, Op. 7
- Érnő Dohnányi: Serenade in C Major, Op. 10
- Ludwig van Beethoven: Septet, Op. 20
